Chairman of the government delegation for the negotiations on the Blue Nile and South Kordofan areas, Dr. Kamal Obeid, reiterated that the government will not sign the final document of the recent oil deal, achieved in Addis Ababa at the end of the negotiations with South Sudan, unless the two sides settle the issue of security arrangements. Mr. Obeid explained, during his speech to the Radio Conference Programme transmitted Friday by Omdurman Broadcasting Corporation, that the two sides are now determined to solve the problem and welcomed any assistance, emphasizing that Sudan would be against whoever wants to deepen and complicate the problem.
Regarding negotiations with the SPLM-N on the Blue Nile and South Kordofan areas, Mr. Obied said that negotiations are going to be with the inhabitants of the two state who want to reach final and decisive solutions; not with SPLM-N
