Karti to Head Sudan Delegation for Meetings of African Peace and Security Council

The Foreign Minister, Ali Karti, is due to head Sudan delegation for the meeting of the African Peace and Security Council, scheduled to begin Friday in Addis Ababa at the ministerial level.
The meeting will hear a report on the situation between Sudan and South Sudan State on the light of the current negotiations between them concerning the outstanding issues.
In a statement to SUNA, Sudan envoy to the African Union, Gen. Abdul-Rahman Siral-Khatim, said that the African Union’s ministerial council will hear a statement of Sudan delegation for the negotiations while the delegation of South Sudan State will presented another statement on its vision regarding the negotiations between the two countries under auspices of the African Union High-Level Implementation Panel for Sudan, which is headed by Thabo Mbeki.
Head of the African Union High-Level Implementation Panel for Sudan, Thabo Mbeki, will present a report before the African Union’s ministerial Council on the negotiation process and the Mediation’s remarks and the level of implementation of the UN Security Council’s resolution 2046.
