147 Sudanese Prisoners in Critical Situation at AL Gantara Prison, Egypt

A delegation from Sudanese embassy to Cairo, Egypt chairs by head of passports section Major Walid Hussein AL Tayeb has visited AL Gantara prison in Egypt and revealed that Sudanese prisoners in the prison estimated for 147 persons, reported local media Sunday.
110 out of which were arrested for charges of entering military areas searching gold. They were sentenced between one to three years imprisonment besides 20,000 pounds fine. Some of them according to media reports have completed their periods’ bur still in jail for failing to pay the fines whilst others remain facing criminal charges. However the prisoners are suffering critical health situations, as repots stated.
