Government Affirms its Commitment to Maintain Stability of Humanitarian Situation in South Kordofan and Blue Nile States and to Implement Tripartite Initiative

The government has affirmed its keenness to maintain stability of the humanitarian situation in South Kordofan and the Blue Nile States and asserted its approval of the tripartite initiative that comes under the efforts of the international partners – the Arab League, the African Union and the United Nations.
Through a report of the Commission for Humanitarian Aid, the government affirmed stability of the humanitarian situation in South Kordofan and the Blue Nile State, stressing that it will coordinate efforts with all the international partners concerning the humanitarian situation all over the country.
The government disclosed that it has worked out a framework plan toward implementing the tripartite initiative, explaining that it is motivated in doing so by its original role and duty in management of the humanitarian situation and securing the necessary services for its people, especially at areas that are witnessing tensions.
The government has appreciated the contribution of the national and international partners to the stability of the security situation and implementing recovery, rehabilitation and development programs.
It is to be recalled that the UN has welcomed Sudan approval of the tripartite initiative of the United Nations, the Arab League and the African Union for delivering humanitarian aid to the affected citizens in South Kordofan and the Blue Nile States.
Sudan permanent envoy to the UN, Ambassador Daffallah Al-Haj Ali, has received a message from the Undersecretary of the UN Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs affirming the UN commitment to work in full coordination with Sudan government and the partners to deliver humanitarian assistance to affected people in South Kordofan and the Blue Nile State.
