Curriculum and Education

By Tayseer Hussien

Our great poet Saif Al-Dusoogi once told me that their teacher asked them to read to him something. The students did. But the teacher was not impressed. He asked them to keep something that deserved to be listened to. He advised them to seek the help of their parents. The poet said that he asked his father to help him. His father told him to bring a book. He kept a poem and read it to his teacher the following day, but being difficult itself, the teacher was again not impressed.
