President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir on Saturday met with the Chair of the African Union High-Level Implementation Panel(AUHIP), Thabo Mbeki in the Gust House on the background of the breakthrough made in the recent round of negotiations between Sudan and State of South Sudan in Addis Ababa which is scheduled to be resumed next Thursday.

Sudan delegation to Addis Ababa talks headed by Lt. Gen. (Eng) Abdul Rahim Mohammed Hussein, returned to Khartoum yesterday as talks were deferred until Thursday to enable South Sudan to celebrate its first independence anniversary.
