President Al-Bashir Addresses National Legislature on New Economic Measures

President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Monday gave an address at the National Legislature in which he declared a package of economic measures, including the restructuring of the government, reduction of the constitutional positions at the center and the states’ levels, besides expanding the social insurance network.

Consumer Protection Society Calls for Support of UN Convention on Drought and Desertification

The former Director of Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture, Hashim Mohamed Al-Hassan has called on the state to support the UN Convention on Drought and Desertification.
This came during the Forum of Consumer Protection Society on drought and desertification which held recently .
Hashim called for the provision of the necessary finance of the agreement and giving the top priority to the drought and desertification affected-areas in Kordufan .

SDG 400,000 Allocated for Funding Graduates Projects in CDS

Agricultural bank has allocated SDG400, 000 for funding young graduates’ projects in Central Darfur State. CDS deputy governor Mohamed Musa told (smc) that SDG300, 000 of the fund is allocated to be invested for young graduates’ various specializations and the remaining SDG100, 000 is to be utilized for veterinary and animal production. At the same time the ministry of agriculture has prepared 20 Feddans to be distributed for nomads groups to boost animal resources sector.
