President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Friday returned home After His Participation at Eritrea’s 21st independence day anniversary in Asmara.
President Al-Bashir and the accompanying delegation were received at Khartoum Airport by The Vice President of the Republic Dr. Al-Haj Adam Yousif,, a number of ministers and senior officials.

Sudan’s central bank has received “a large amount” of hard currency from abroad and plans to use it to stabilize the pound following the local currency’s effective devaluation, the deputy central bank governor said in remarks published on Saturday.

The Sudanese army took control of two areas previously held by the rebel Sudan People’s Liberation Movement/Army North in Blue Nile state, an official said.

Adam Abakar, deputy governor of Blue Nile, told the Sudanese Media Center Friday the army, in a five-day battle, seized Suda and Gam in the Angasana Mountains and inflicted “great losses in lives and equipment.”

In the news Sudanese singer Nadir Khidir died last Sunday  morning in a car accident south of Shendi on Salvation Road while returning from the city of Atbara after taking part in a concert at Nile Valley University.
Three other musicians accompanying him were also died in the accident.
As a matter of fact this road was constructed on the nineties of last century to link Khartoum with Atbara, so at that time served the purpose in [...]
