More than a third of the malaria-fighting drugs tested over the past decade in Southeast Asia and sub-Saharan Africa were either fake or bad quality, seriously undermining efforts to combat the disease, a study said Tuesday.

With up to 1 million people — mostly children in Africa — already dying every year from malaria, bogus drugs and those containing the wrong chemical makeup could upend a decade of progress fighting the mosquito-transmitted disease, the U.S.-funded review said.

The State Minister at the Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Dr. Mabrouk Mubarak Saleem, has affirmed the importance of coordination between all bodies in field of animal resources’ exportation to reach the targeted figures and until the fixed quota is surpassed, pointing out that the flow of livestock exports is progressing as required.

The State Minister at the Ministry of Transport, Roads and Bridges, Engineer Faisal Hammad, said that his recent visit and the accompanying delegation of Sudan Airways to Ukraine came in compliance with the country’s policy for reliance on eastern technologies.

CAF unveiled today the TV figures of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations 2012 that was co-hosted in Gabon – Equatorial Guinea. An estimated record of 6.6 Billion cumulative TV viewers has followed the most prestigious African Sport event with 87072 hours of TV exposure, adding 59965 hours of TV to the figure that was reached in Angola 2010.

Police spokesperson, Al-Sir Ahmed Omer, has affirmed that Sudan made great strides to complete the Civil Registration Record.
