Chairman of the African Union High-Level Implementation for Sudan and former President of South African, Thabo Mbeki, and his deputy and former President of Burundi, Pierre Buyoya, arrived in Khartoum Thursday evening for consultations about resumption of the negotiations between Sudan and South Sudan.

1296 Stranded Southerners Arrive in Juba on Air

Transporting operation targeting stranded southerners, at Kosti in White Nile state, continues through an air bridge, launched via Khartoum airport to Juba. Nearly 655 persons departed to Juba, Wednesday, on board of four flights, from Khartoum. So far, according to “National Displacement Center” coordinator Al Samwaal Al Sidig, nearly 1296 of stranded southerners have arrived in Juba, since the operation started on Monday.
