Egyptian Minister of Water Resources arrives in Sudan
Gms: Khartoum, May 5 (SUNA)
The Egyptian Minister of Water Resources, Dr. Hisham Gindil is due to arrive in Khartoum Wednesday on a several-day official visit in framework of the continuous consultations between Sudan and Egypt and the Nile Basin states.
The two sides will discuss in their meetings the cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
East Darfur State to Prepare 10,000 Mujahids

The Wali (governor) of East Darfur, Maj. Gen. Mohamed Fadlalla Hamid, has affirmed the readiness of his state to prepare 10,000 Mujahids at the training camps to defend the homeland.
Addressing the convoy of the trade chambers convoy of De’ain in support to the Armed Forces Thursday, Maj. Gen. Hamid appreciated the rush of citizens for the training camps for the sake of protecting the borders of East Darfur State with South Sudan State.

The Presidential Advisors, ministers and state ministers of the broad-based government have contributed half of their constitutional allocations as of Thursday in support of the program austerity which is announced by the government recently.

SJU Describes UN Security Council Resolution on Sudan and South Sudan as Catastrophic

The Sudanese Journalists Union (SJU) has described the recent resolution of the UN Security Council threatening non-military sanctions against Sudan and South Sudan State as catastrophic and constitutes new aggression that threatens future and security of Sudan .
SJU in statement issued, Thursday, said the UN Security Council resolution made equal the aggressor and the victim and undermined the values of the international security, adding that it harms the national sovereignty .

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Da’awa Organization, Field Marshal Abdul-Rahman Suwar Al-Dahab, has signed a memo of understanding with Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Charity and Humanitarian Organization of the United Arab Emirates for establishment of endowment for the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan of two million dollars for support to the projects and programs of the Islamic Da’awa Organization in Africa.

Kier to Chair an Extra Ordinary Meeting with RF in Juba

An extraordinary meeting will be held Thursday in Juba, capital of southern Sudan, chair by President Salva Kir. The meeting’s attendees will include GOSS senior officials and revolutionary front coalition leaders. A source from RF, told (smc) that the meeting’s, agendas will focus on how to determine rising dispute, from within RF membership.

Kumasi Asante Kotuku have won the 2011/2012 Ghana Premier League title with four matches to spare.
The Porcupine Warriors sealed the title, their first in four years over the weekend despite a 0-0 draw with visiting Berekum Arsenal at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Minister of Finance announces rise of inflation in Sudan by 12%

The Minister of Finance and National Economy, Ali Mahmoud, has announced increase of inflation by 21% during the first quarter of the current year, compared to 16% in the same period of the past year.
The minister attributed the rise of inflation to the continuous increase in the prices of food materials and beverages, particularly the necessary goods such as meat and milk.

Justice Minister Meets Ethiopian Ambassador

Minister of Justice, Mohamed Bushara Dossa received at his office, Thursday the Ethiopian Ambassador to Sudan the bilateral relations between the two countries, means for developing them further and the activation of the agreements signed by Sudan and Ethiopia .
Dossa, during the meeting, pledged to develop relations between the two countries, affirming that the Joint Ministerial Committee will revise the joint draft agreements which were not signed .
