Sudan News Agency (SUNA) Launches its SMS Service for Sudanese in Saudi Arabia

The Sudan News Agency (SUNA) has launched its Short Message Service (SMS) to the Sudanese expatriates in Saudi Arabia.
The new SMS service will enable the Sudanese people in Saudi Arabia to receive breaking, political, sports, university, business and economic, currency, investment and banking news as well as the news of the Sudanese community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through Mobily Telecommunication Company.

Festival of Sudan Nights to be Held in May

The federal Minister of Culture, Al-Samawa’al Khalfalla, announced that the Festival of Sudan Nights will be held in May all over Sudan states, under auspices of the First Vice – President of the Republic, ALI Osman Mohamed Taha.
He said that the festival will provide a good opportunity for competition between the states in reflecting all aspects of arts, innovation, poetry, signing, music, dancing and folklore.

Sudanese Cotton Company receives Pakistani commercial delegation

The Director General of the Sudanese Cotton Company, Osman Suleiman Mohamed Nour, has acquainted the visiting delegation of the Pakistani Trade and Industrial Chamber in Lahore on the role of the company in provision of all agricultural production inputs and cotton ginning.

Parliament Reveals Plan for Holding Direct Dialogue with US Congress

The National Assembly has revealed a plan for holding direct dialogue with the US Congress to assess the relation between the two legislative institutions .
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Haju Gasm Al-Seid outlined that Sudan will ask the US Charge d’Affaires in Khartoum to start direct dialogue to determine these relations and to change the US Congress’s hostile stance towards Sudan .

Libyan military official commends Sudan efforts in support for 17 February revolution

The Chief of staff of the Libyan General Command, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Al Mangush, has commended the Sudan efforts in support for the February 17 Revolution in Libya.
Following his meeting Monday with Gen. Ismat Abdul-Rahman, the Chief of the Staff, Al Mangush indicated in A press statement that his visit to Sudan aims to discuss different aspects of cooperation.
He said that the relations between Sudan and Libya are based on brotherhood and mutual trust.
EU Ambassador Inaugurates 6th Model Un Conference

Head of the European Union delegation to Sudan, Ambassador Tomas Ulicny, has inaugurated the 6th Model United Nations Conference, organized by the schools of International Khartoum Community schools.
