Minister of Industry, Dr. Awad Ahmed al-Jaz, has announced the establishment of an industrial city for leather industries on area of 500 thousand feddan in cooperation with Khartoum State

The Minister during his inspection Wednesday , for the production in the Leather Technology Center stressed on the importance of movement of all the industry sectors towards sustainability and development of the production of students bags of different sizes and manufacturing of shoes according to the international standards

He called on the necessity to link science to work and to take advantage of the Universities in creating designs that suit the consumer and the climate of the country , and to take benefit from the Sudanese expertise, he referred to the efforts exerted for the improvement of leather,reduction of the waste and the development of the tanneries , indicating that the fair for leather industries, due to start, aims to recognize the capabilities of the this sector towards the resettlement of the leather industry

On his part, the director of the Center of Leather Technology Dr.Awad al- seed AL Sheikh, confirmed readiness of the Center for Leather Technology to provide the best models to help workshops and factories to establish this industry on a scientific basis to achieve economic returns to the producers
