President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir was briefed on the ongoing work at Khartoum New Airport (KNA), particularly the funding process, giving directive for the construction of the airport in the fixed time.
The remark was made when President Al-Bashir received, Monday, Feb. 21, the Director of Khartoum New Airport Implementation Unit, Dr. Abdel Al-Karim Abdullah.
Dr. Abdullah pointed out that the deadline for the establishment of the airport is 36 months in the case of the commitment of financers of the project, saying that an agreement of $150 million was signed with the Islamic Bank and the Turkish Export Credit Bank provided $ 200 million, adding that some Arab funds will finance the project’s air traffic areas.
