Khartoum – Egypt has announced its firm stance towards backing Sudan in its case with the International Criminal Court (ICC), which it plans to join in the wake of its revolution to become a legally recognized state.

Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) says that about  20,000 soldiers and officers from southern Sudan are going to be demobilized from the SAF.

SAF Spokesperson Sawarmi Khalid Saad told Radio Miraya that soldiers who were enrolled within the Joint Integrated Units have already been demobilized.

He added that the remaining once will be released from military service by July 9th.

Microsoft founder Bill Gates has donated US$ 5 million to Juba Town Council. The Mayor of Juba, Mohammed Alahaji Babala, confirmed today in a press conference that the Council has received the money and will use it for cleaning and maintaining the town.
